- Day 1
Arrival in Gaya: After arriving in Gaya, drive 13 kilometres to Bodh Gaya and check into a hotel. Take a sightseeing tour of this Buddhist religious centre. While meditating under a bodhi tree, Gautam Buddha attained enlightenment. There is a peaceful temple here, as well as a branch of the tree that provided shade for Buddha. Emperor Ashoka's queen destroyed the original tree, but a sapling was saved and planted in Sri Lanka by his daughter. A sapling from that tree was brought back to Bodh Gaya and now stands to tell the story. Several Buddhist countries, including Thailand, Japan, and Burma, have established monasteries and meditation centres in Bodhi.The Mahabodhi temple is a World Heritage site that was built in the 6th century AD next to the site of enlightenment. In the 11th century, Muslim invaders attacked and plundered the temple, which was rebuilt several times. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Bodhgaya.
- Day 2
Bodh Gaya - Dungeshwari Caves - Gaya: After breakfast, drive 13 kilometres to the Dungeshwari cave temples. Before attaining nirvana, or enlightenment, Buddha spent years of penance here. Return to Gaya after lunch to see Brahmajuni Hill, which is thought to be the location of Buddha's fire sermon. On the hilltop, there is a cave and a temple. Return to the hotel to spend the night in Bodhgaya.
- Day 3
Gaya - Varanasi : After breakfast, transfer from Bodhgaya to Varanasi and check into the hotel. Take a 10-kilometer break before continuing on to Sarnath. After attaining nirvana, Buddha delivered his first sermon to a small group of followers in Sarnath. Emperor Ashoka built monasteries and stupas here, which were later destroyed by Muslim invaders. British archaeologists discovered some remains in 1835. Evening Aarti at DashaswamedhGhat, one of the four major sites of the Buddhist religion. Stay in Varanasi for the night.
- Day 4
Varanasi - Kushinagar: After breakfast, drive 250 kilometres to Kushinagar. and check into the hotel Buddha passed away here, leaving a message for all mankind to find salvation. Several monuments built by devotees from all over the world have been erected along the Buddha Marg. Vietnam's Linh Son Buddhist temple, meditation centre, and gardens, the Burmese MahasukhamdadachamThargyi Pagoda, the Mahaparinirvan Temple, the Matahkuar temple, the Japanese - Sri Lanka temple, and the Wat Thai temple are among them. The RamabharStupa, also known as the MukutbandhanStupa, is where Buddha was cremated. Khusinagar overnight stay
- Day 5
Kushinagar - Kapilavastu - Lumbini: After breakfast, go on a sightseeing tour of Kapilavastu India. You will then be transferred to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Lumbini.
- Day 6
Lumbini - Patna: After breakfast, set out to explore the Ashoka Pillar, a commemorative monument built by King Ashoka in Lumbini, Buddha's birthplace. Later, visit the Mayadevi Temple, an ancient Buddhist monastery. Later, travel to Patna. When you arrive in Balrampur, check into a hotel for the night.
- Day 7
Patna - Nalanda - Rajgir - Bodhgaya: After breakfast, drive to Nalanda to see the University Ruins Archaeological Complex, which is set amidst expansive lawns that complement the spectacular layout and carvings of this ancient university. A central valley separates the monasteries and viharas. Stupas with images of the Buddha carved in them and steps leading up to a dais for professors are two interesting structures to look out for. 10,000 monks and professors lived here at the time, according to the Chinese traveller XuanZang, who also taught at the university between 685 and 762 AD. Rajgir – The ruins of the Kolhua complex surround the 2300-year-old Ashoka pillar. A Japanese Peace Pagoda was also constructed here. After lunch, spend the night in Bodhgaya.
- Day 8
Bodhgaya: Departure transfer from hotel to Bodhgaya / Gaya Airport or your preferred destination after breakfast.
- Accommodation in well appointed A/c room on Twin or Tripple sharing basis in hotels mentioned
